This is a great portable scale. It is accurate to the half pound. It is easy to store thanks to its convenient handle, and doesn't seem to have any problem with being moved around, exposure to water, or dropped. I have had it for a while and it still measures just as accurately as when I opened the box. In addition this scale comes with a lifetime lithium battery. This is a nice feature so that you don't have to spend money on batteries. Overall a great value.

Both the reviewer who loved this scale and the one who said it was highly inconsistent are right.

I've had this scale for about two weeks and have done a lot of experimenting with it. Some days it seems to give me perfectly consistent readings, varying only by 0.2 pounds in either direction. Other days, I can weigh myself six times and get six different answers covering a range of about a pound.

What I've found is that the scale is extremely sensitive to the countour of the floor beneath it. Because it uses only a single load cell, located near the geometric center of the underside of the scale, it makes a huge difference whether the floor beneath it is perfectly flat or not. An uneven floor can cause tipping, put more of your weight on one side than on the other, or give a low reading if the load cell itself happens to fall into a small "valley" between higher ridges that could support the outer edges of the scale.

If you use the scale on a carpeted floor, all bets are off! A hard, flat, bare floor works the best.

By moving the scale around to different places in my bathroom, I was finally able to get reasonable and consistent readings. Finding that exact same spot again every morning isn't always easy, though.

It also makes a difference where you stand on the scale, especially if your floors (like mine) are old and "bumpy".

So, yes, the scale itself is as accurate as the manufacturer claims. But no, you might not get that kind of accuracy from it if you don't have a flat enough floor to use it on.

The motion sensor in this thing is awful. Someone said you don't have to measure your stride but you do, it asks for your stride length. Also unless the walk from my desk to the my office door is 45 steps (in a 5 foot cubby), I think there might be some step registration errors. If you even move in your chair it adds several steps at once. Even on days when I am not active it logs about 15000 steps. I liked the old one better.

I'm in my second day of using it. I find it somewhat confusing to understand the symbols - but buy it at your meeting, from Weightwatchers. It's roughly half of this price!

This great cookbook is sold in WW meetings rooms for 9.95$. There is no reason to pay almost 30 dollars for it.

It is a great cookbook, with wonderful comforting recipes, Mac n cheese, Lasagna, all healthier AND delicious versions. It's just sad to think people would pay that much for it.

The recipes not only offer the point counts to keep one on track for the program but they are delicious as well. This scale is all I'd hoped it would be and more!

The leveling feature works well. Unlike other scales I've owned

the weight doesn't vary if you used it minutes later. I like the measuring of weight in tenths of a pound just like the scales at my Weight Watcher meetings. It's also a beautiful addition to our bathroom! I was concerned about the glass top, but, it seem to be quite sturdy.

If this isn't the coolest weight scale in the universe, well... It is so refreshing to find a decorator's choice in the weight scale department. It almost makes you feel good about what it's going to tell you!

It is easy to program. In my home, I have 2 users. You can program up to 4 users. The target weight is easy to set. You step on the scale, weigh yourself, then user 1 and user 2 become the up-or-down pound/kilo measurement, so you click on these buttons until you get to your desired target weight. After setting your user number and target weight, you get on the scale after pressing your user number, and it tells you your current weight, how much you've lost since the last time you stepped on it, how much you've lost since you started your program, and how much more you have to go to your target.

The user manual (a flyer), is easy to read and use to set up the scale. Additionally it let's you know how often to weigh yourself depending on whether you are trying to lose weight or maintain your current weight.

Additionally with my purchase I also receive a year of Weight Watcher magazine for free. All right!

This has been an enjoyable purchase.
