To understand how simple is can be to keep weight off forever, you first need to know why is virtually impossible to buy any healthy weight loss programs. The giant companies that make billions hope you never read this, but the facts show none of their products work permanently. Here's why that is:
You can only lose weight one way- you need to burn off more calories than you take in. Simply put, you need to burn off more calories than you consume.
The sad truth is, so few individuals know this, that they think the have to buy their healthy weight loss programs. Expensive weight loss plans [Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, Nutrisystems, etc.] all claim to have the ideal healthy weight loss programs. These expensive programs for weight loss actually do have the potential to work- IF you follow them and use them to help you create that all critical daily calorie deficit. However, most people that buy commercial weight loss programs- even ones that are considered healthy- end up gaining back more weight than they lost.
So why commercial "healthy weight loss programs" can't help you permanently keep weight off? Simple: The answer is quite interesting. It's because if you buy a diet to help you, you make it impossible to know how to keep weight off once you stop using the program. Meaning, when you take away the tool that you bought- that's helping you create the calorie deficit- you take away the calorie deficit. Leaning how to permanently lose weight is like leaning how to swim. If you never take off your life jacket, you'll never totally know how to swim by yourself. So if you're buying something- even if it's the worlds most perfect healthy weight loss program, you're never learning how to keep weight off with your daily actions.
However, just like learning how to swim, when you learn how to create your own "healthy weight loss programs" it's gets very easy- and you know how forever. The reason keeping weight off is simple because it's only possible with the calorie deficit. It's not knowing how to create a deficit that easily fits into your daily life- or trying things that are proven not to work- that makes you feel weight loss is hard or impossible.
Don't don't think healthy weight loss programs are smart to buy from the diet industry, because the facts prove the opposite. Keep it simple. Just eat natural foods that you like, and get active in ways that like. The scale will tell you if you're eating right and getting active enough. When you just do that, losing and maintaining your weight happen with what feels like no special effort whatsoever.
There's more! When you create your own healthy weight loss programs it help you not only change your body, but your life as well. Why? Because the emotions that tell you to eat poorly and rarely get active are very powerful. And when you control them- instead of the other way around- accomplishing whatever else you set your mind to is easy.

In order to achieve a healthy body, you must also work on a healthy mind. The mind has the power to control pain, illness and overeating when given the right tools to succeed. Doubt, questioning and a lack of faith in a given weight loss program are all it takes to turn the body into a fat storing machine as opposed to a fat burning machine. Here are 7 important tips for a healthy body and mind.
1. Work within your means. Many people research a new weight loss program and immediately jump into the program with little to no thought about the cost involved. Typically, fad weight loss diets are surrounded with expensive foods and supplements that may aid the user in losing weight but will inevitably drain the pocket. When the program becomes too expensive, other household bills may be left behind in order to pay for the plan and that can cause negative emotions, stress and weight gain. Weight loss does not have to be expensive.
2. Start with a colon-cleanse. Colon cleanse products work to rid the body of built up toxins and waste. If the intestinal system is not working correctly, any new weight-loss program can result in increased hunger from the first day. The body needs certain vitamins and nutrients and with a reduced calorie weight loss plan paired with a sluggish, impacted colon - the body will demand more food to get what it needs.
3. Colon cleanse before and after. Colon-cleanse products do not have to be used throughout the weight-loss plan, but before and after are perfect times. Before starting the diet, colon-cleanse to prepare the body. When you have lost a ton of weight and a plateau has halted the weight-loss in its tracks, try colon-cleanse to lose weight and get things back in moving order.
4. Choose only a proven colon-cleanse product. There are colon-cleanse products out there created with a long list of natural laxatives and diuretics. These may increase weight loss and bowel movements but that does not mean they are working to get rid the body of toxins. Only a proven colon-cleanse product with toxin eliminating ingredients will work with your weight loss plan.
5. Add exercise whenever possible. Exercise is great for losing weight but adding in some activity does not have to mean preparing for a marathon. Exercise can be walking around your home or development or playing tag with your children. Pets make exercise easy as walking them once or twice a day does count and will increase weight-loss.
6. Look at the numbers, on the tape. Weight loss is funny because sometimes the numbers on the scale are standing still but the numbers on the tape measure are moving. The day you start a weight-loss plan or a colon-cleanse, measure areas of the body and note the results. When you are having no loss for a period of days in a row, take the tape measure back out and measure the areas again. You will see a loss even if the scale is being stubborn.
7. Give yourself credit for being you! Weight loss is not supposed to be fast or feel the same for any two given people. Give yourself credit for making healthier choices for your body and your mind even if weight-loss is difficult or nonexistent. Being overweight is not the same as being unhealthy.

Weight loss is typically measured in one of two ways: pounds and inches. Many popular weight loss clinics and institutions require dieters to weight themselves daily and come in frequently to be measured. Keeping track of weight both weight loss and inches lost can benefit dieters as they attempt to reach their weight loss goals.
In addition to taking it upon themselves to ensure that dieters are actually losing weight...professionals in the weight loss industry are feeling more pressure to be responsible when it comes to ensuring that dieters are accessing healthy weight loss. They are the ones that need to be making sure that dieters are losing weight in a healthy fashion. They have to remember to consider:
1. Healthy weight loss goals: some dieters will start their program off with very unrealistic and sometimes very unhealthy weight loss goals. Any dieter who comes in stating that their weight loss goal is 80 pounds needs a talking to. And many dieters that come in saying that they need to reach their "high school weight" need a talking to.
2. Yo-yo dieting! Lots of dieters think that yo-yo dieting is dieting. It is not a healthy weight loss method. Yo-yo dieters lose weight and then gain it back and then lose weight and then gain it back. This is horrible for the body. The purpose of dieting is to obtain healthy weight loss. This means losing weight and keeping it off.
3. Fad dieting (extreme dieting). There's always some "new" diet out there. And a lot of them either don't work or they are very unhealthy while they are working. If a diet seems totally off the wall or the creators can't explain "why" it works...avoid it.
Some dieters make the mistake of construing weight loss success as a sign of credentials. They place themselves in the position of expert and start making adjustments to their dieting regime. They figure that some weight loss obtained through a certain method will only increase with increased use of that method and other similar lines of thought.
These dieters may figure that a 500 calorie limit resulting in 2 pounds of weight loss per day is just a precursor for their personally created 250 calorie limit that they believe will probably result in 4 pounds of weight loss per day. This is not a good idea. This will not work. This will not result in healthy weight loss and it will probably result in no weight loss at all.
Dieters should not make changes to their weight loss program protocol. Experts designed the protocol and the rules are in place for specific reasons. Making changes in your diet can lead to more extreme weight loss can actually inhibit the healthy weight loss you were already achieving.

Acne skin is characterized by whiteheads and blackheads (also known as plugged pores), pimples, as well as deeper nodules or cysts in some cases. Acne usually occurs on the neck, face, chest, shoulders, back or the upper arms. Most teenagers are affected by this unsightly condition, and it is one of the most recognizable signs of the onset of puberty. Many adults too experience what is known as adult acne during their thirties or forties. Women, in particular, can develop acne during their twenties even if they have never had it before. Acne skin care is essential to prevention of serious or permanent scarring.
Acne Treatment
It is essential to consult a dermatologist as soon as the symptoms of acne appear. If you have been diagnosed with moderate acne, your dermatologist will be able to treat it successfully with a combination of therapies. These therapies generally consist of prescription anti-bacterial treatments as well as physical treatments such as light therapy or extraction. Oral contraceptives, too, have been known to work successfully in some cases. Severe cases of acne are treated with aggressive treatments such as oral antibiotics or acne surgery techniques, including drainage or incision.
Healthy Diet to Prevent Acne
While many skin care products do help in the treatment of acne, there are some foods that treat it from the inside, by providing good nutrition and natural detoxification. These foods ought to be an important component of any healthy diet. They include:
Organic green tea – This contains large amounts of catechins, an anti-inflammatory chemical that combats the free radicals present in the environment and prevents the formation of wrinkles and fine lines.
Olive or sesame oils – These are two of the best cooking mediums because they contain monounsaturated fats as well as essential fatty acids that are good for your skin. They are an important part of your cell membranes and impart an inner glow to your skin.
Walnuts – Walnuts and other nuts contain large amounts of omega-3 oils, which are powerful antioxidants that keep your skin firm and smooth. Other foods such as salmon fish and flaxseed oil also contain omega-3 oils.
Berries – Cranberries, raspberries and blueberries are rich in phytochemicals that protect your skin cells against the ageing process.
Watermelon – Rub the rind of a watermelon for beautiful skin. This popular fruit is a great natural exfoliant and a rich source of vitamins A, B and C. Watermelon also contains plenty of water, which hydrates the skin and makes it appear younger. Massaging your skin gently with watermelon rind helps in stimulating lymphatic drainage.
Lemon juice – This works as a natural bleach and helps to eliminate freckles and sunspots. You can also use it as an exfoliant by rubbing a slice of lemon and some granulated sugar on your skin.
Low fat dairy products – Dairy products are some of the best sources of Vitamin A, the essential nutrient for a healthy skin.
Foods such as Brazil nuts, whole wheat bread, cereals, fish, meat and eggs are the commonly available sources of dietary selenium. High selenium levels in the body protect you from the harmful effects of excessive sun exposure and environmental toxins.
